Henry Ford Health | Royal Oak City Center – Royal Oak, Michigan

Project Completed:

November 2021

Boji Group, the developer on behalf of  Central Park Development Group, LLC, finalized terms of a development agreement with the City of Royal Oak in August 2017 to complete a $180 million public-private-partnership; the project included a new city hall, police station, parking deck, central park, and a privately owned 6-story, 145,000 square-foot office building, with first-floor restaurant/retail, that began construction on spec, named, “The ROCC” (Royal Oak City Center). In September 2018, it was announced that Henry Ford Health will occupy the entirety of the new ROCC development when it is complete. Just months after breaking ground on the development, Boji Group began working with Henry Ford and the City of Royal Oak to bring one of the nation’s leading healthcare providers to the community. The new medical center will be staffed by more than 400 employees, including physicians, nurses, and support staff. Services will include women’s health, pediatrics, sports medicine, rehabilitation, radiology, primary care, and outpatient surgery. A walk-in clinic, retail eye care services, a retail pharmacy, and a café are also planned for the first floor. The construction of the project has been completed and opened in November of 2021. The pivotal project is $80 million, just one part of Royal Oak’s overall $180-million civic center development that will also create a new city hall, police station, 558-space parking structure, and a new city park right in downtown.
